DMA234 - Final: Creative design


Overview: Create a poster promotional piece based on the skateboard design as the subject matter. You will create 2 separate formats for this project.

1. Standard poster 18x24inch | 300dpi ( online optimized version for deployment )
2. Standard wallpaper that can be downloaded for iOS or Android based devices. You will be responsible for the correct pixel resolution required for targeted device.

You are not required to print the final but it is required you use best design practices and present a online optimized version for review.

Required Design elements
1. Story / narrative - develop the emotional connection with the viewer
2. Photographic element from the physical skateboard design
3. Font / copy element
4. Defined stylized art direction - supported by ideation&discovery phase.

weight: 40% Milestone format (separate breakdown will be provided via email)

Due Date : April 19th @ 9 am ( separate submission email will be provided )

Production Scope: Creative based project that will use previous assets as the raw materials for the final digital preparation that may require print output and/or online presentation. Student will also make use of best practices and skill sets developed in other courses and semesters.Full creative and development scope may be provided via stylized client email. Subject covered but not limited to the following: Photo effects, Color pallet, Texture, Copy Deck, layout, Typography, Digital manipulation, production process, stylized design. This is not a personal project but a business project you will be required to track your hours using an online service for the time-sheet/spreadsheet. Google Documents is a great option, it’s online and attached to your gmail login account, a quick search will provide several options of time-sheet templates.

Production process&submission: A weekly Blog announcement and Twitter® post is required each week on the personal production blog describing what you have released. Include information for the terms of use for a person and/or company. *It will be the students responsibility for hosting and providing active links for projects and assignments. Bandwidth limits and/or cost may apply - read over any EUA (End User Agreement) with service providers, hosting companies and web base services and follow recommended information. Projects will only be graded online via the student blog and/or personal website * No attached files will be graded, you maybe required to provide source files - so prepare each day.
